Hamilton four piece, Lost Faculty, are a band dealing in guitar-driven songs that hit with urgency and grit. Made up of Matt Burdett, Nigel Cruz, Brendan Reynolds, and Justin Ross, their music lives in the moment - written in fragments of tension and release, then carried to life on stage. What started with the polished edges of indie rock has given way to something rawer, more direct, and more alive.

For the band, the stage is the centre of gravity. Every set is a high-stakes exchange.  Sweat, noise, and vulnerability trading hands between band and audience. It isn’t about control or polish, but about creating moments that feel unrepeatable.

That spirit drives their sound: guitar-led, live-off-the-floor, and uncompromising. Lost Faculty have taken that ethos across Canada, including a slot on the main stage at Sound of Music Festival and Hamilton Stadium for a CFL game. Their debut album, recorded at Julius Butty's (Alexisonfire, Protest the Hero) Arc Recording Studio, is slated for release in 2026 and aims to capture the same immediacy and force that fuels their live shows.
